2019 Camp LEAD Appllications are Open!

Camp L.E.A.D. (Leadership, Empowerment, Advocacy, and Development) applications are now open. Click on the title of this news release to obtain more information.

Two YouTube videos help to illustrate the Camp L.E.A.D. experience. To watch them: Gabe's Story and Connie's Story.

This year the application process will be changing for the better and will be live on March 5, 2019.  Additionally, this year all campers must be enrolled with VR before the camp, so Heart of Oregon Corps (HOC) is getting the word out early.

A page with an informational a flyer and a leaflet is posted on the YTP Website: HERE!

HOC wants to encourage Transition Specialists (and others who work with a groups of young people) to refer a wide variety of students to the program.  The camp experience can be truly transformative in terms of self-advocacy and confidence/leadership building.  HOC is encouraging partners to think less about “which students could do the camp?” and more about “which students could benefit from the camp?”  Please direct anyone with questions to call Tyler McCrae's cell phone (1+541-633-7834) to make sure that specific students would be a good fit for the program.

The first step for applications this year will be the Heart of Oregon Corps general application, located at https://heartoforegonorg.presencehost.net/programs/apply.html.
