University of Oregon's Secondary Special Education and Transition Unit (SSET) would like to invite YTP practitioners to participate in a very, important survey focused on work-based learning experiences!!! Work-based learning experiences have been shown to be an important component of transition planning to ensure students with disabilities can effectively access future competitive integrated employment. This study is being conducted to learn about barriers and implementation of work-based learning experiences for job coaches when providing these experiences to students with disabilities.
YTP was selected as a possible participant because of YTP's role related to implementing and providing work-based learning experiences to students with disabilities. YTP Practitioners are invited to participate in a study being conducted by the faculty and doctoral students in the University of Oregon’s College of Education, Special Education Program.
Participation is voluntary, and participants do not have to answer any questions that make them uncomfortable. Data from this survey are confidential, and the research team will not share participant information with anyone else. Results from this study will be shared with participating states to help inform professional development for staff working with students with disabilities in work-based learning experiences.
Participation consists of completing a confidential 15-20 minute online survey. If a participant has any questions regarding this study, the participant may contact the Project Investigator, Valerie Mazzotti, firstname.lastname@example.org (541-346-3218). For questions about your rights as a participant in research, you are encouraged to contact University of Oregon Research Compliance Services, 541-346-2510 (ResearchCompliance@uoregon.edu).
