Required Monthly Reporting to VRC

Because VR is required to do monthly reporting on each consumer it is important that you send your VRC, at the very least, a monthly update on each of your students you have been working with in preparation for employment.  Ideally, this meeting would be in person and the time used to go over your current YTP caseload and potential YTP students.
 
Remember, the transition specialist will be working with many more students than just the student base, providing Pre-ETS and screening for readiness to work. When students have shown they are ready to work within a variety of ways, yet still present barriers to employment that require services, it is a good time to bring them on to the YTP caseload. Especially when you are a new team, it is important to clarify process, expectations, evidence needed, and readiness for work.
